cope has more visitors

we are having so much fun with cope!
first trip to the grocery store.. he slept the whole time. probaby didn't even know he was there!
cope has been really busy sleeping and eating and foofing his diapers.
this is about as close as may bell will get to big cope. she's not afraid to lay on cope's presents from his favorite cousins chrissie and mariana, but she is terrified of the baby.


so little peanut will be really embarassed when he gets bigger and we watch this movie. he got this trait from his dad!

cope loves to give sugar

and cope doing mom's favorite face in the world.. he loves to do this when you wake him up from kissing him so much!

big cope has been wronged! he should have won the oscar for best actor. he is pretty impressive in these movies.. he has also been busy teaching mom and dad lessons about diaper changing, such as 1. cover him up when you take his diaper off unless you want to get peed on.. 2. don't lose focus after he pees on you.. if you do, you won't notice when he is pooping all over whatever it is that you would like him least to poop on (i.e. your comforter), 3. just because he has pooped like a grown man and you think he must be done..he is NOT done. there is more poop and as soon as you change his diaper he will let you have it. our record is 3 diapers in the span of about 10 minutes.. we are learning quickly and loving every minute of it.

my little man is growing bigger every day. we took him for his first stroll in the neighborhood and he saw his first deer (well we showed him the deer anyway.. i imagine he couldn't see them). He is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and I am more in love with him every minute.. He has a little jaundice but otherwise is doing great. He and his dad are pretty much best friends. We love him so much!

coming home

Cope came home today after lots of screaming when we put him in the carseat. Then he got his first bath at home, which he also protested heartily. Now he is settling in and he is pretty happy at home with us. We love him so much!

8 lbs 8 oz, 19.5 inches, born 2/18/08 (president's day! i guess he is gonna be president), at 1:54 PM.. he's fine and dandy and super handsome and i love him so much.. he has blondey brown hair right now. we'll keep you updated but we are the happiest people in the world right now.
