so we had a pretty busy weekend. we finally got to the nursery and got my mother's day tree, which dad and mr. cope planted (with lots of sun protection of course!)
it's a forest pansy redbud and i love it!
we also planted 2 other trees... a mexican redbud and an anacacho orchid tree. the deer, however, are trying feverishly to undo all our hard work. they nibbled one of my trees before i got it protected with a cage. here are some of the neighborhood culprits.
big cope could care less one way or the other about the trees, but he sure does love his llama. it's just the right size for chewing and slobbering on.. so the deer nibble my trees and cope nibbles the llama. i guess that's about as close to even as we can get.

Love your hat Little Man. You have become quite a busy little yard man!! You all did a great job with the trees! They look fabulous! I love your little llama too! He looks soft and cuddly and I can see why you love him so much. Nana would love a big bite of your sweet sugat right now,,,but I'll have to settle for playing your videos several times a day until I can get my hands on you again. Love and miss you Big Guy!!!
